Found yourself shouting “Hey Siri” at your Mac with no response? Well, you are not the only one. It actually needs activating if you want to use it hands-free. I will show you How to Activate ‘Hey Siri’ Hands-Free on a Mac. No more need to press the Siri symbol on the taskbar.
- In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
- From the Apple menu select System Preferences
- On the system preferences select Siri
- Tick the checkbox Enable Ask Siri
- Confirm “Ask Siri” activation by selecting “Enable”
- Now tick the checkbox Listen for “Hey Siri”
- Follow the onscreen speaking commands to setup Siri
- Complete the setup process by clicking “Done”
