- In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
- From the Apple menu select System Settings
- On the System Settings select Accessibility
- From Accessibility select Display
- On Display select Large from the Menu bar size
- For changes to take effect select Log Out Now
- Log back into the Mac

How to Change Menu Bar Size on Mac
First, before we jump into the step-by-step if you don’t see the option the enlarge your menu bar. Then you are likely on an older macOS the ability to make the menu bigger come with macOS Monterey.
So first you may need to update your macOS before moving on.
With that covered let’s jump into Changing the Mac Menu Bar Size:
Step 1. In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
Step 2. From the Apple menu select System Settings
Step 3. On the System Settings select Accessibility
Step 4. From Accessibility select Display
Step 5. On Display select Large from the Menu bar size
Step 6. For changes to take effect select Log Out Now
Step 7. Log back into the Mac
Struggling to Read Text on Mac
The difference this makes is small and you may actually find it hard to see any difference. I can assure you there is a difference granted it’s small.
If this doesn’t help you and you are still struggling to read text. There is an option for you to make the text bigger that may be better suited.
This option will increase the text across the entire macOS.
To increase the text size across the Mac System Settings > Displays > Change the Resolution to Scaled.
