To make the Mac more you there are several ways to customize it. Yet, I have always found the best way is by changing the wallpaper on the Mac. Having a picture of your family or your favorite destination is all achievable on the Mac.
- In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
- From the Apple menu select System Settings
- On the system settings select Wallpaper
- Choose a new Wallpaper from the list

How to Change Wallpaper on the Mac
There are hundreds of options to choose from built into the macOS. That’s before we even get to your images that you can make your wallpaper.
I will take you through each option so you can make the best choice and some hidden gems.
So let’s right into How to Change Wallpaper on the Mac:
Step 1. In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
Step 2. From the Apple menu select System Settings
Step 3. On the system settings select Wallpaper
Step 4. Choose a new Wallpaper from the list
Ventura Graphic – we have three options to choose from Dynamic, Light, and Still. Not all screen savers will have these three options only dynamic compatible wallpapers.
Dynamic Desktop – many options will change dynamically throughout the day. You will see four options but can select “Show All” to see more.
Light and Dark Desktop – these are plain colors yet change dynamically throughout the day. You will see four options but can select “Show All” to see more.
Desktop Pictures – like more classic pictures than you this is the section. Yet, these will not change dynamically throughout the day. You will see four options but can select “Show All” to see more.
Colors – like the plain look then the colors section is for you. You will see four options but can select “Show All” to see more. Also, you can have the colors auto-changing at random by selecting “Auto-Rotate”.
Pictures – if you want a picture of your family or friends then this is the section you will add the pictures. You can then set these pictures as your wallpaper.
Rotate Wallpapers Automatically
Now if you have many pictures that you would like to use as your wallpaper but just can’t decide on one. Then the perfect option for you would be to have your pictures automatically change.
In the bottom right corner select the dropdown and choose “Photos“. All the photos on your Mac will be available and you can choose “Auto-Rotate” and the images will automatically change.
You can also choose “Albums” where you can have a selection of images. If you select albums you can select “Auto-Rotate” and the images will automatically change.
