How to Force Quit Close Frozen Apps on Mac

If you have come from a windows device you will be familiar with the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete short code to force quit an application. With Mac, it’s a little different but just as easy so let’s see how to force quit apps on your mac.

  1. Click on the apple logo () in the top left-hand corner
  2. Select “Force Quit” from the drop-down
  3. Click and highlight the application you want to quit
  4. Select Force Quit in the bottom right-hand corner to quit the application

Even though the mac computer is one of the most reliable around that doesn’t mean all applications are and at times we need to quit them.

Step 1. Click on the apple logo () in the top left-hand corner

How Do You Force Quit Using the Keyboard on Mac?

Using shortcuts on the mac can speed up many processes and even force quit is no different.

To force quit an application on your mac using a keyboard shortcut you want to press Option, Command, Esc (⌘,⌥, Esc) this will quickly bring up the force quit box.
