- On the System Settings select Desktop & Dock

How to Hide or Unhide Mac Menu Bar
Hiding the menu bar is super simple to achieve but you have a few different options to choose from on the way you would like to hide it.
We will go through each option to help you get the best setup on your Mac.
Step 1. In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
Step 2. From the Apple menu select System Settings
Step 3. On the System Settings select Desktop & Dock
Step 4. Select the “Automatically hide and show the menu bar” dropdown box
Step 5. Choose between Always, On Desktop Only, In Full Screen Only, and Never
We have four different options to choose from on the dropdown and below we will run through what each means.
- Always – your menu bar always is hidden.
- On Desktop Only – when you are on the desktop the menu bar will be displayed. Yet, in any other situation, the menu bar will be hidden.
- In Full Screen Only – the menu bar will be available at all times. Except when you enter the full-screen window and the menu bar will disappear.
- Never – your menu bar will always be available even on full screen.
In all the instances when the menu bar is hidden. When you move the mouse to the top of the screen the menu bar will reappear.
