- Open iMessages app
- From the toolbar select “Messages“
- Select ‘Settings” from the menu
- Select the “iMessage” tab

How To TURN OFF iMessage On A Mac
If you are getting too many texts from an individual you don’t have to turn off iMessage altogether. You can Block Imessage Senders in Messages on Mac without turning it off.

Now you will not receive any texts through iMessage on the Mac. If you want to reactivate iMessage this is easy to do.
Launch iMessage and you will be greeted with a sign-in message. You will follow the sign-in instructions and iMessage will be reactivated.
