- In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
- From the Apple menu select System Settings
- On the System Settings select General
- Now on general select Language & Region
- Turn off the “Live Text” tab to disable live text

As with all things when you are changing settings within the Mac they are reversible. So even if you want to turn the live text back on that is easily done.

Step 1. In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
Step 2. From the Apple menu select System Settings
Step 3. On the System Settings select General
Step 4. Now on general select Language & Region
Step 5. Turn off the “Live Text” tab to disable live text
Now any image that has text within your Mac will no longer recognize it and give you the option to copy it. Cutting out all that frustration the feature brought many Mac users when it was introduced.
