- In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
- From the apple menu select About This Mac
- On the about this Mac box select the Storage tab

How to Check Mac Storage
There are two different ways to check the amount of storage on the Mac. First below we are going to cover the easiest and quickest way to check your Mac storage.
Step 1. In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
Step 2. From the apple menu select About This Mac
Step 3. On the about this Mac box select the Storage tab
Step 4. Within the storage tab is a stacked bar graph showing your Mac storage
How to check your Mac storage via “Disk Utility”
Step 1. Click the Finder Icon on the Mac dock
Step 2. In the finder window select Applications from the left side bar
Step 3. Within the Applications Window scroll down to Utilities and click into the folder
Step 4. Now in the utility folder click on Disk Utility to open
Step 5. A box will pop up showing you how much storage you have on the Mac.
