- In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
- From the Apple menu select System Settings
- On the System Settings select General
- Now on general select Language & Region
- Turn On the “Live Text” tab to enable live text

Live text can help you copy text from any image on your Mac or the internet. It is a feature many have found revolutionary and extremely useful.
As with all things when you are changing settings within the Mac they are reversible. So even if you want to turn the live text back off that is easily done.
So let’s get into how to turn on the live text on mac with pictures:
Step 1. In the top left-hand corner click the Apple Menu ()
Step 2. From the Apple menu select System Settings

Step 4. Now on general select Language & Region
Step 5. Turn On the “Live Text” tab to enable live text
Now any image that has text within your Mac will recognize it and give you the option to copy it.
Seen a picture with a street name? This feature will allow you to copy the street name and paste it into something like Google Maps. The uses are endless what the live text feature can be used for.
